On May 31, Crown won the coveted International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award for the third time. The award was presented at the CeMAT trade fair in Hanover. Crown’s RT 4000 Series rider pallet trucks took the prestigious award in the “Warehouse Trucks Lowlifter” category.
Crown introduces the Crown WAV 60 Series designed with features to help achieve a greater level of safety, efficiency and flexibility for applications where ladders are typically used to reach up to five metres such as those found in retail and manufacturing settings.
Application
Palibex is the Spain’s first network for the express distribution of palletised goods. Much of the success of this young company is due to its commitment to the environment and occupational health and safety, a focus that caused them to opt for an operating model based on the rear loading of payloads (rather than the lateral loading used by other palletisation companies), meaning that goods vehicles do not have to enter the warehouse. This means the goods handling process is safer, avoiding lorry emissions that would otherwise affect goods and the personnel involved in handling them. Since its inception, the company has had to acquire facilities and vehicles that support the implementation of this innovative operational approach while enabling it to specialise in consumer goods – a market that requires higher standards of cleanliness and care during transport and handling.
Productivity in every move – Crown introduced the FC 5200 Series counterbalance forklift to give operators the strength, stability and manoeuvrability they need to lift heavy loads in tight aisles and on crowded docks.
For its SC 6000 electric counterbalance forklift range, Crown has won the Excellence in Ergonomics prize in the prominent Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) awards, known as the Archies. The forklift series features an ergonomically enhanced cabin, designed for greater visibility combined with maximum operator comfort and performance.
