Since replacing its ageing forklift fleet with Crown forklifts and their Infolink® fleet management system, costs at the Yamaha Schiphol motorcycle parts distribution centre have plummeted by 10% while fleet damage is over 30% lower.
On July 1, 2013, Simon Emery (46) was appointed to the position of Director Retail Operations EMEA at Crown.
In his new role, he will be in charge of all the activities of Crown subsidiaries and independent Crown dealerships in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). After relocating to Crown’s European head office in Munich, he will report directly to Ken Dufford, Vice President Europe at Crown Equipment Corporation.

Sponsored by the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Sector Association, the competition’s independent jury of internationally respected journalists were impressed by the way Crown’s InfoLink® fleet management system streamlined operations at Spicers, one of the UK’s largest wholesalers of stationery and office supplies.
An independent panel of experts have awarded the Crown WT 3040 platform pallet truck with the prestigious Design for Safety Award in the Industrial Vehicles category at the IMHX 2013 trade show. The Award is organised by the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA).
