- Premieres of innovative gas-powered forklift and new electric four-wheel forklift
- Product launches due in 2015
Crown will be redefining industry standards once again at the LogiMAT 2015 trade fair in Stuttgart. The lift truck manufacturer’s product range is set for further expansion: two brand-new highlights from the company’s extensive series of tough, reliable forklifts are due to be presented on Stand A03 in Hall 8 during February 10-12, 2015. The double premiere will feature a high-performance, LPG-powered counterbalanced forklift, and an electric four-wheel counterbalanced forklift designed as a multipurpose workhorse. The new models are scheduled to launch in 2015.
Crown C-5 Series: taking the LPG truck to new heights
With the new C-5 Series, Crown is adding a gas-powered counterbalanced forklift to the company’s range of products sold in Europe. The new, industrial LPG engine is built in-house, and was created by combining Crown’s decades of experience in the development of material-handling solutions with the engine expertise of John Deere. The result is a revolutionary, high-performance engine boasting an unprecedented lifespan (up to 20,000 hours) while needing fewer service intervals. Advanced technology is evident in every detail, from the innovative, dual-radiator cooling system and ergonomic design through to the intelligent stability system. Other highlights include a long-lasting, almost maintenance-free braking system and an on-demand cooling (ODC) option that prevents overheating and actively clears the radiators. The C-5 Gas Forklift Series is also available with an optional, newly developed cabin that gives operators an unmatched all-round view and a highly ergonomic working environment. In short, the new forklift series is all about total reliability and productivity-boosting efficiency. The truck is designed to be the right answer to the most demanding and specialised tasks – indoors and out.
Multitalented four-wheel forklift: exceptionally stable, extraordinarily agile
Crown will also be presenting a new, electric four-wheel counterbalanced forklift at LogiMAT – the actual product will be launched in July. Like a Swiss army knife, the new truck is a multipurpose workhorse, capable of performing a wide variety of material-handling tasks in indoor and outdoor conditions. Crammed with carefully thought-out solutions, the electric forklift is particularly safe and robust – but also ergonomic and user-friendly. Top features include exceptional manoeuvrability and sophisticated cabin options. A long-life rear axle steering system that has been tested for thousands of hours makes this four-wheel forklift exceedingly agile. The truck is designed to give operators an unobstructed field of vision in all directions, making it even easier to manoeuvre. Multiple cabin options are available to suit customers’ requirements – from the Soft Cab with flexible, weatherproof side protection to a fully enclosed cabin with a thought-out design that gives operators an all-round view without limiting their workspace. By offering a combination of durable, top-quality construction with sheer practicality plus optimised ergonomics, this new Crown forklift helps enhance productivity and increase profitability in all areas of the warehouse.
Crown QuickPick® Remote: productivity at the press of a button
Alongside the two new counterbalanced trucks and many other new features appearing in Crown’s existing product range, the prize-winning QuickPick® Remote order picking system will also be back in the spotlight. In a specially built, live demo area at Stand A10 in Hall 8, Crown will be demonstrating how this multi-award-winning technology can be used to significantly increase productivity in low-level order picking operations. The GPC 3000 order picker with QuickPick® Remote has already earned a number of prestigious, international industry awards, including the “Best Product” award at LogiMAT 2013, the IFOY Award 2014 and the iF Design Award. Most recently, the German Design Council bestowed the prestigious German Design Award 2015 on the order picking technology.
Yet another highlight: Crown is now extending the tried and tested concept of the “magic glove” to other applications. More information will be available at the trade show.
