The new Heavy Duty Pedestrian Reach Stacker SHR 5500 can be used wherever there are restrictions on space, different pallet sizes need to be moved or where pallets are out of reach. Its pantograph reach mechanism allows the truck to be used like a counterbalanced truck. The ISO 2A fork carriage and a choice of outrigger straddle widths and fork lengths enable the stacker to be configured to handle a wide range of pallets.
The SHR 5500’s AC traction system together with a heavy-duty mast and pantograph reach mechanism work in harmony to deliver more efficient load handling and positioning. The pantograph reach mechanism allows operators to stack and retrieve even over obstacles such as lorry tyres for side loading.
Operators benefit from the robust X10™ handle which requires minimal hand and wrist movements and can even be operated with one hand. The brake override feature enables slow-speed travel with the handle in a near-vertical position for working in extremely confined spaces. The electronic power steering ensures that minimal effort is required on the part of the operator regardless of load. The result is greater productivity and less operator fatigue. Outstanding visibility plays its part too: this is enhanced by the two and three stage mast with angled cross braces and lift cylinders located behind nested I-beams. In addition the unique pantograph reach mechanism provides an outstanding view of all rack levels. A low-profile power unit and centre-mounted tiller also provide a broad line of sight.
Similar to other Crown trucks, the SHR 5500 reach stacker benefits from the Access 1 2 3® Comprehensive System Control for reliable, programmable performance. Built-in diagnostics eliminate the need for a handset or a laptop when service is required. Access 1 2 3 technology is complemented by the InfoPoint™ System, which follows a logical, easy-to-understand troubleshooting process for faster, simpler and higher-quality service. Easily removable steel doors on the power unit provide easy access for service operations.
An available on-board charger makes it possible to charge the battery wherever there’s a 240-volt electrical main. The battery can be removed from either side, with battery compartment rollers as standard. Options such as Work Assist™ accessories and side shift allow you to tailor the SHR Series to the customer’s special application.
The series features the SHR 5520 model with 1100 kg or 1350 kg capacities with a maximum 225 Ah battery capacity and the SHR 5540 model (1600 kg) with a maximum 525 Ah battery capacity.
