Crown, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, has expanded its counterbalance forklift portfolio. The new four-wheel forklifts complement the well-established, multi-purpose lift trucks in Crown’s SC and FC Series. They are available now, both as electric forklifts with high-performance 80-volt batteries and as powerful diesel and LPG lift trucks. With load capacities ranging from 2.0 up to 5.5 tons, they are capable of tackling a wide variety of material handling tasks in both indoor and outdoor applications.
Westcoast Ltd is the distributor arm of the Westcoast Group, one of the largest private companies in the UK. It operates from three sites, Theale, Milton Keynes and Andover, which is the newest – and largest – facility in the group and distributes products from leading IT brands such as HP, Microsoft, Lenovo and Apple. The new building comprises a 31,500 m2 storage and distribution facility, with a further 7,000 m2 used as a configuration centre. Andover, which opened in 2020, includes 22,000 VNA locations and 16,000 pallet locations, utilising 13.2 metre racking.

V-Force® lithium-ion battery technology. Starting immediately, customers can order Crown’s WAV 60 Series in one of two lithium-ion configurations. The upgrade has significantly boosted the Wave’s already impressive versatility – now that the vehicle supports opportunity charging, it can be used in a wide range of new applications.
Crown recently acquired one of the earliest electric counterbalance forklifts the company produced, originally manufactured in 1968.
